Children's Reconciliation
Preparation for First Reconciliation will consist of at home activities for Family Faith Formation and Home School Program students as well as a full day retreat. Preparation will occur in the classroom for St. Patrick’s Catholic School students prior to a full day retreat. At least one parent is required to be in attendance for the retreat; however, both are welcome. Due to social distancing requirements, retreats will be capped at 80 children (max of 2 parents/guardians per child). Families will have the option to bring their own lunch or go off campus for a one-hour lunch break.
The sacrament of reconciliation is intended to be a normal part of our Catholic daily living. The hope is that the children will understand that they can come to Jesus exactly as they are; therefore, there is no specific dress code for the retreat and the children along with their parents will celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation after a brief examination of conscience that they will do together during the retreat day. Immediately following their First Reconciliation, the parents and children will get to celebrate with ice cream. Please visit the sign-ups to select your preferred retreat date of choice, only one date is required.
