Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
Thinking of joining the Catholic Church? Or just curious and want to learn more about it? Where do you begin?
You’re invited to start this faith journey by joining a group inquiring about the church. RCIA begins by exploring the big questions of faith, like who is Jesus, why did he die, how can we have faith, and how and why should we read the Bible. After considering these initial topics, Catholic teachings, practices, sacraments, and traditions are discussed. It all culminates with Easter Vigil Mass in the spring. This journey at St. Patrick’s Church begins Thursday, September 9th. The weekly Thursday evenings together (6:30 to 8:30 pm) will begin with a complimentary dinner followed by engaging conversation exploring Christianity and the Catholic faith. RCIA is an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly, and open environment. If you, or anyone you know, would like to inquire about joining the Catholic faith, please call the parish office at 402-289-4289 or email RCIA@stpatselkhorn.org. If you have questions about RCIA, please contact Jim Greufe at jgreufe@stpatselkhorn.org. |
