Music in Catholic Schools Honor Band Visits St Patrick's

As part of their spring tour, the Music in Catholic Schools Honor Band performed a concert at St. Patrick's on April 24th. The band members are selected by audition. Two St. Patrick's students are members of the Honor Band. Harrison Engel plays clarinet and Tobin Brown plays French Horn. This is the first year St. Patrick's has had students selected for the Honor Band, and the first time the Honor band has made St. Patrick's part of their six-school tour. Congratulations to Tobin for receiving “best section” and “most promising musician” awards.  Students 5th grade and up are eligible to participate in the Music in Catholic Schools band program which serves 31 schools.  Lessons are held twice each week.  Beginning in 6th grade, students can audition to be a part of Honor Band in addition to regular band.  Consider joining band today!
