MRS. NELSON ANNOUNCES CAREER MOVE - I have accepted a position for the 2011-2012 school year as principal at Holy Cross Elementary School in Omaha. I am very excited about the opportunity to use my administrative strengths in a new capacity. My time at St. Patrick's has been invaluable in helping shape who I am as a teacher and as a person. I was blessed to have a great administrator in Mr. Ridder and to work with so many amazing teachers and staff members who have constantly challenged me to be a better teacher and person. The parents, grandparents, and parishioners here have been so supportive in the educational process; it is truly a wonderful community. I have enjoyed the relationships I have established with so many of you. St. Patrick's is a *special place*, and I will be sad to leave, but am very excited about this new chapter in my life. Thank you all for being such a big part of my life for the past eight years. I wish nothing but the best for each of you and for St. Patrick's!
MR. RIDDER’S RESPONSE – I want to take this opportunity to thank Mrs. Nelson for her eight years of service and teaching here at St. Patrick’s. She has had a tremendous impact on many of the successes of our school and of all the children she has touched over the years. She is truly a difference-maker and we are all better because of her. Holy Cross is getting a strong educator who will make a positive difference for the staff and children as their principal. We wish her nothing but the best.

A big thank you to everyone who has contributed to this cause!
