to pick up your child (ren). We expect all children to be picked up on time (3:20-3:25) this year. If a child is not picked up immediately after school they will be required to go to an after school supervision area (in front of trophy case) and their parents will be charged a fee of $4.00 for this late pick up. If a child is picked up after 4:00 parents will be charged $7.00 or the total cost of afternoon extended care. The only exceptions to this rule will be if there is an emergency; i.e. accident, flat tire, vehicle breaks down, etc. Road construct or slow traffic does not constitute an emergency. Should there be an emergency, than you will be expected to call the office as soon as possible, and let them know of your situation. Your child (ren) will then be called to the office and expected to wait there.

the week. It is currently being finalized. There are a few things we would like to make you aware of beforehand. It has been brought to our attention that Sears sells a uniform pant that models all the qualities we look for in the Dennis Uniform pant. The brand is TKS and it is a 65%/35% polyester blend with reinforced knees. They are slightly cheaper and are available in the store or online. This is the only other accepted option to our uniform policy on pants. The other options are Dennis and the French Toast brands. Under no circumstance can another be substituted and parents will be asked to conform to this policy if a child comes to school in any other brands or styles. SHOES WITH WHEELS – Shoes with wheels are not allowed at St. Patrick’s for obvious safety reasons during school hours. These styles of shoes with wheels can cause unnecessary accidents during recess or PE. Please do not allow your children to wear them to school. MIDWEST IMPRESSIONS – Embroidered uniform pieces ordered last spring through St. Pat’s Home & School will be available at Midwest Impressions located near 203rd and Blondo Streets after August 1st. Their store hours are 8am – 5pm. TUITION ASSISTANCE - Every year we have several families who have financial struggles regarding their ability to send their children to our school. Fortunately, due to the generosity of the St. Patrick’s Men's Club, the Knight of Columbus and a other individual donors who give to the tuition assistance program, these families can continue to send their children to St. Patrick's. If you are a family who has been blessed and would like to contribute to allow another student to attend our school, please contact us by emailing Don Ridder at ridderd@stpatselkhorn.org. SCRIP NEWS - Our tuition reimbursement program was a HUGE success! Over $2600 of SCRIP profit was returned to school parent’s tuition accounts!!!! Thank YOU!!! Like everyone…the SCRIP program’s account is now low having paid all the year end bills – tuition reimbursement, the school and the Archdiocese. Having turned over our profit - we will be running on a tight budget for the next few months. Thank you ahead of time for your patience! School starts in 5 weeks! SCRIP will be fully stocked & ready for the new school year. We will have our traditional Spooky SCRIP in October, HO-HO-HO SCRIP after Thanksgiving, and our HOP-INTO-SPRING before Easter! Each one of these Box Tops for Education is worth 10 cents for our school. Last year we received over $2500 from Box Tops for Education that was deposited into our Home and School account. That is a lot of FREE money. We are currently ranked number 7 in the state of Nebraska for submitting Box Tops for Education. Be sure to watch your Hy-Vee grocery ads. They usually run a summer special. In this special, if you buy the products that are listed you receive a printed receipt, at the check out stand, for a certain number of bonus Box Tops. Simply send that receipt into school and it will be submitted for FREE cash for our school. Any questions? Contact Diane Anielak at danielak@stpatselkhorn.org or at 238-2622. Thank you in advance for helping our school.
