DID YOU KNOW …St. Patrick’s Catholic School continues to excel?  As with every year since our first graduating class in 2006, we celebrate multiple scholarship recipients to area Catholic High Schools.  This year’s scholarship winners are: Ryan Barton – Creighton Prep; Rachel Doyle – Duchesne; Harrison Engel – Mount Michael; & Derek Loseke – Mount Michael.  These students received the awards based on their performance on the high school entrance exam.  These 8th graders as well as all our students are expected to excel at the high school of their choice.  Our awesome new facility will definitely complement this and allow every student the opportunity to shine in all areas of our academics.  In the next several Principal’s Notes, I will highlight the specifics in the new addition that will continue the St. Patrick’s tradition we established in preparing our students for any challenging high school they may choose. Congratulations again to Ryan, Rachel, Harrison and Derek!

TUITION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE - We ask that families who plan to attend St. Patrick's School and feel that Tuition Assistance may be helpful complete the application in order to be considered.  This application is available by emailing me and I will send it to you via email.  This information will remain very confidential.  This application must be completed annually to qualify. Also, we would like to thank the Knights of Columbus, Men’s Club and the various others that have stepped forward to contribute to our Tuition Assistance Program.  If you or anyone you know would like to contribute to our Tuition Assistance Fund, please contact Don Ridder, Principal at 289-5407 or via email at ridderd@stpatselkhorn.org.

2008-2009 REGISTRATION - If your child/children are currently enrolled in St. Patrick’s School and you registered younger siblings on the gold current student form that came home in February, please know these siblings are considered “accepted”.  Please do expect a letter of acceptance to be sent home. Please plan to attend Tuition Commitment Weekend after all Masses April 5th and 6th and tour the addition.

AFTER SCHOOL ARRANGEMENTS – Please make your “after school” arrangements with your children before school.  We have many students requesting that they call their parents for permission to go to friends’ houses, remain at school, go to an after school meeting/event, etc.  I am sure parents would appreciate the planning ahead so they know exactly where their child is, how they will get there as well as eliminating the line-up in the school office for the telephone.  Please share this with your children. Thanks for your support.

JOIN US FOR STATIONS OF THE CROSS – During this Lenten season, Fr. Dan Lenz, from Mount Michael will be here at 2:30pm to lead us in the Stations of the Cross on the following Fridays, March 7th, 14th and as well on Wednesday, Mar. 19th.  All family, friends and parishioners are welcome to join us!
