School Board Minutes

May 8, 2006

Present: Cindy Engel, Kimberly Fangman,  Charlie Olson, Pat Adler,  Steve Morrissey, Mike Socha, Bob Wolf, Jackie Coco (RF), Staci Witkowski (H&S) and Don Ridder.  The meeting was opened with a prayer led by Steve Morrissey.

Approval of Minutes:  Minutes from April meeting were approved with minor revisions.

Home and School:

              Officers for next year:

                            Joan Quinn-President

                            Staci Witkowski-Vice President

                            Sara Simms-Secretary

                            Denise Breinig-Treasurer

Money donated:

              $8,000 to technology

Home and school is preparing for carnival and for tuition payment weekend-Aug. 6th

Parish Pastoral Council: Budget discussed and approved

Religious Formation: 

              End of the Ice Cream Social

              Volunteer dinner will be 5/10

              Jackie Coco will serve as liaison to school board again next year.

Committee Reports:

              Finance/Development-Budget approved

              Facilities: Ram Hingorani, John Flor, and Craig Downingwill begin work on Boland Hall renovation         

Personnel:

              Safety: Notes from May 3rd meeting:

                            *We will use the same traffic plans for next year.

                            *Kids walking home need permission forms filled out and turned in.

                            * We have hire another nurse for next year.

              *Don will contact the appropriate officials regarding construction on the intersection (Maple & 31)            

Principals Report:

*Graduation plans:  Mass:                                                     5/16   8:30 A.M. 

                                     G              raduation Ceremony:                     5/17   7:00 P.M.

*School was 1st in the state for money raised for Jump Rope for Heart-$15,000

*FT Music teacher hired-Jennifer Rehn

              *Personnel:  need Kindergarten teacher, 5th grade TA, assistant cook, assistant extended care.  Need to replace Andrea in the school office.

              *Tuition Policy discussed-died due to lack of a second
