8th Grade
6th/7th/8th Grade Reading & English: I began teaching at St. Wenceslas Elementary and Bishop Neumann Jr. /Sr. High School in Wahoo. Most of my time was spent as a sixth grade teacher. I earned my master’s degree at UNL during this time while also completing an endorsement as a K-12 Reading Specialist. After the birth of our 5th child, I took a part-time position as a Reading Specialist with Wahoo Public Schools. I enjoyed my new position but also came to realize I missed the added benefit of teaching children about our faith. God has definitely had a hand in guiding me back to a Catholic centered classroom. St. Patrick’s has such a quality staff and I feel truly blessed to be a member of that staff. As a teacher in a Catholic schoo,l I believe it is so important to help students develop a life-long relationship with God. We truly get to help children develop in all areas of their life – academically, spiritually, and morally. The staff and parents of St. Pat’s have created a supportive, positive environment that isn’t always found in other schools. It really makes St. Pat’s stand out. My husband, Bob and I stay busy with our five children and all of their activities. I also enjoy spending time in my flower gardens and trying to complete “HGTV” inspired projects around the house!
