ST. PATRICK'S SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT

The Mission of St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School of Elkhorn, Nebraska is to "teach as Jesus did.... by challenging every student to be his/her very best academically, behaviorally and spiritually.

All decisions we make regarding our staff, students, families and our school
educational program permeate from the words of that mission.

SUCCESSES

St. Patrick's Catholic Elementary School is a Pre-K thru 8 th grade program with expectations to add a grade each year until they are a full Pre-K thru 8th grade three-section school.

St. Patrick's School is a cooperative educational program which challenges every student, staff and parent to work to his or her full potential for the spiritual, behavioral and academic excellence of all our students.

The teachers are all experienced and highly qualified with exceptional references.

The most challenging curriculum has been chosen.

Academics are stressed early in their full day kindergarten program.

Phonics is a major part of what's expected from each child in every classroom.

Self-discipline is expected from all staff and students with our school Discipline With Purpose behavioral program. All teachers are trained and many of the parents have also been trained to provide continuity from home to school.

Spirituality is stressed all hours of the day with prayers being said throughout the day. God is discussed whenever possible within all parts of the program. All K-8th grade students attend mass every Tuesday and Thursday morning with the each class having the opportunity to put on the mass and act out the gospel.

The student's experience Christian community bonded in friendship, respect, trust, love and forgiveness.

The students are wearing a uniform that has created a structure of acceptance and unity within the school.

Students will be expected to utilize computers, enhancing their learning opportunities in and out of the classroom. They will learn appropriate keyboarding skills and other computer techniques to become competent lifelong learners. Technology is utilized in all classrooms with several computers available in the room with Internet capabilities.

No students are to be turned away because of lack of finances. A tuition assistance program is available for all student's families.

Our Administration, teachers and teacher assistants collaborate to create and continually improve our curriculum.  All school staff members continue to be acclimated to updated educational programs.  If you are interested in St. Pat's curriculum or have any questions, you may contact Don Ridder, Principal at
