Library/Media Teacher
Anne Kalkowski is the part-time Library Media Teacher at St. Patrick's. She comes with years of teaching experience both in the classroom as well as in the library. After receiving a terrific Catholic education in Omaha, Anne attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary/Middle Education in 1993. In 1997, Anne received her Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction at KU before moving back to Omaha to teach. Finally, she earned her Library Media endorsement from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2003. As you can tell, besides loving to teach, Anne really likes to be a student as well! Anne and her husband John (also a teacher) are blessed with a son and daughter. When not at school, you can find Anne with her family, reading (favorite book: The Giver), watching sports (Go JayHawks!), or listening to music (favorite band: U2). I feel lucky to have the opportunity to be a part of St. Patrick's and grateful to all of the great volunteers who have and continue to devote their time and talent to our school library. |
