Mrs. Amy Ackerman -Kindergarten through 8th Grade Music Teacher

I graduated from UNO with Bachelors of Music Education.  For a few years, I taught full time in both public and private schools.  Then I met my wonderful husband, J.R., and we soon started a family.  We decided that I would stay at home.  I have continued to substitute regularly during these years, most recently with Bennington and Westside Public Schools.  I also enjoy teaching private voice and piano lessons.

I’m honored to work at a school where faith and academics go hand in hand. Catholic schools provide the freedom to express my love and faith in Jesus Christ our Savior.  I hope to be a blessing to my students. I can’t wait to become part of the St. Patrick’s family.  The staff, students and parents I have met already have been very welcoming.  I look forward to a fun and exciting year in music!

J.R. and I have two wonderful kids.  John is 8 and Madison is 4.  All the grandparents live in the Omaha area, so we get to spend lots of time together!
