School Counselor
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Human Service from the University of Minnesota-Morris and a M.S. degree in counseling from University of Nebraska-Omaha. After my husband and I finished our schooling in Nebraska, he began his career in the military. We have lived in multiple states including Washington, Texas, Connecticut, and most recently North Carolina. Because of the frequent moves, I have had a variety of educational and counseling experiences. After my three daughters were born, I pursued teaching at the collegiate level. I have taught a variety of psychology courses including Child Development, Developmental Psychology and Abnormal Psychology at 5 different colleges. We moved from Durham, North Carolina to Omaha because of a job opportunity for my husband. While in North Carolina, I worked as a guidance counselor at an Independent Day School.
Since my husband and I have lived in many of the regions of the US, we can genuinely admit that we are glad to be back in the Midwest. Despite our frequent moves, I always found a job opportunity that allowed me to serve others through teaching in a supportive and nurturing environment. I have found that yet again at St. Pat’s. I enjoy working with all learners, whether individually, in a group or a classroom to foster socio-emotional development. I am very fortunate to have found an atmosphere where all staff are dedicated to the intellectual, socio-emotional and spiritual development of each child. Every student is encouraged to lead a life that utilizes the gifts and talents that God has given them. I am blessed to be at St. Pat’s.
I have three daughters; Tessa is a junior and Meaghan and Morgan are freshman in high school. My husband, Jeff, works at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center. Although having 3 active teenage girls does not leave much down time, I do enjoy reading and spending time with our extended family. |
