St. Patrick’s School Board Minutes

April 10, 2006

Members Present: Mike Socha, Steve Morrissey, Cindy Engel, Pat Adler, Jackie Coco (Religious Ed.), Bob Wolf, Don Ridder, Charlie Olson, and Kimberly Fangman

Meeting opened with a prayer by Steve

Minutes: Minutes from March meeting approved with 2 changes

              Changed title and next meeting date

Moved by Mike, seconded by Cindy                 

Home and School:

              Home and school will donate money for technology needs          

Parish Pastoral Council Report-

              No meeting until 18th

Religious Formation-

              *End of the year celebration May 3rd

Pastor’s Report-

              None

Committee Representatives

              *Continuous Improvement-

                            * Discussed Wellness policy

Motion carried-Policy approved

*Discussed Technology/differentiation In-services

*Development/Finance

              *Budget presented to PPC 4/18 will be approved in May

*Looking at consulting firms       

*Facilities

              * Plans for addition have been presented to building inspector.

*Elections

              We need to be inviting interested candidates to run

*Tuition

              We discussed tuition for Catholics who do not attend St. Pats

                            Bob moved to table

Principal’s report

              *Ann Kalkowski hired as ½ time media specialist

              *Looking for 2nd grade teacher

              *Looking for two Teacher Assistants-3rd and 5th grade

              *Looking for assistant cook and assistant extended care

              *Mt. Michael is offering Algebra I

              *Still looking for a music teacher

              *Blood drive/Locks of Love-to become yearly events

              *Retirement open house for Jan Elledge May 5th
