In our parish, children typically celebrate 1st Reconciliation and 1st Eucharist in 2nd grade. Children are normally Confirmed in 8th grade. Since parents are the first and foremost catechists of their children, they are invited to spend time one-on-one with their child who is preparing to celebrate the sacrament. All of the children in our parish community who are preparing to celebrate a sacrament are invited to share in these activities. Not only is this a learning experience for the child and their parents, but time for fellowship and building community is included.
