In our parish Religious Formation program our children meet weekly with a Catechist, who not only teaches them about the traditions of the Catholic faith, but also shares his or her faith experiences with them. Children are taught the importance of serving not only in our parish community, but also serving those in need in our surrounding community. Service projects are a major part of our Religious Formation program. Our Religious Formation program is volunteer based and our children learn by the example set by both their parents and the many parishioners who devote time to teach the children the importance of prayer, attending worship and helping others, just as Jesus did. Learning the traditional prayers is important, but children are also encouraged to learn to pray to God in their own words. They grow closer to God through their personal prayer life. In addition to Sunday Mass, we offer other opportunities throughout the RF calendar year to celebrate Mass with their families. Religious Formation classes are offered on Wednesday afternoons and evenings for children in Kindergarten thru Confirmation. Classes are offered at the following times for each grade level: 4:00PM to 5:15PM Kindergarten thru 5th Grade 5:45PM to 7:00PM Kindergarten thru 5th Grade 7:30PM to 8:45PM 6th Grade thru Confirmation Preparation Registration forms for the 2008-2009 Religious Formation year will be sent home with all current Religious Formation students on Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Forms will also be available in the Church Information Center, on the website, or by calling the Religious Formation Office on March 26, 2008.
