We, at St. Patrick’s School, are blessed with excellence and success; attributed to our dedicated staff, parish support and parental involvement. I want to sincerely thank all of our Home & School members for your support to our school, staff and students through your work and participation so far this year.
Thank you for all of your volunteer hours!! In the first semester, you have given over 3800 hours of service to St. Patrick’s School! Your time and talents truly enriches our students’ experiences here at St. Patrick’s. Watch Principal’s Notes or peruse our Home and School calendar of events to check out ways to help yet this year. Getting involved is a great way to meet friends and create your own “Angel” experiences. Again, there’s still time and events left, so please refer to our committee descriptions and contact the committee chair or Home & School officers to get connected.
Thanks to all who have taken the Hot Lunch Challenge: serving at least 1 shift this school year. To date, we have over 70 parents to which we attribute almost 1000 hours of serving lunch and cleaning up after all of our kids. I thank you for that! I extend an invitation to those who have not yet had the opportunity. There’s still time left to complete the challenge! Thank you to all who have participated in our $CRIP program! Our total profits for the year are $10,000 which gets us much closer to our goal of $15,000 by June 1st. With at least 2 more promotion drives and several more food nights, we hope to reach our goal. With your continued involvement, I know we’ll get there and get those laptops for the students! Lastly, we are already compiling our Home & School team for 2010-2011. So, whether shift opportunities, annual events, or leadership roles are calling your name, jump on it! I invite all members to attend our last two meetings of the year: March 1st and May 3rd. The collaboration and contribution of all continues to be a great way to get things done.
I am eager to carry on with our faithful volunteers to make the rest of this year tremendous for our staff and students. I am proud of our Home & School members and their vigor that continues the tradition of service here at St. Patrick’s Catholic School!
Sincerely, Jenn Copenhaver St. Patrick’s Home & School President, 2009-2010 jennkfly@yahoo.com
