Prayer for Teachers

Last meeting minutes review:

Minutes approved.

Principals report – no report

School board -  Staci asked if we could rebid the school shirts.

They will look at it again in a few years. The board doesn’t want to burn any bridges with parishoner owned businesses and they did not feel it necessary to make the change now. They tabled it for a couple years. We are going to ask Mid Impressions for the 10% off all the time instead of just at May for preorders.

Thursday morning at 7 a meeting will be held on the road issue. An e-mail will be sent out regarding the issue.

Treasurer’s report: total assests of about $38,000

$2500 was transferred to Scrip for teacher classroom

$3000 yearbook $500 for teacher shirts still outstanding

Skating – will start to be reimbursed for those attending instead of a minimum; Sunday evening event is being planned

Bowling is going on.

Book Fair:  $11,348 in sales

$3,404 the school profited. On track with the public schools

Box tops: We submitted 13,000 boxtops for payment. Plus we already had 200 stored there from summer. We should be issued a check for $1,500 on December 1st, 2006, that is as long as none are rejected for missing expiration dates or being cut too small (they come to us that way). Diane

Grounds: maintenance was done on Sunday, Oct.; lawns mowed, trees pruned; bushes pruned; mulch in spring.

Apparel: sale coming this month for Christmas gifts.

BK night: $225 earned

Safety Patrol – need Monday and Wednesday morning (7:45 – 8:15 a.m.) patrol people

Birthday Club:

The cooks have birthdays on Tuesday so their planning some fun event; missing a few staff  people – still need a few volunteers (email: hrabanhome@msn.com)

Christmas elves -  still planning.

Public Relations:

Working on second issue now, with new feature stories to come; VPN access available to committee for easier access to images

Yearbook:

Jostens representative is allowing us to cash back in the ones we didn’t sell. Credit goes back to next year’s book.  Any quantity can be ordered. We will stay with Josten’s for this year and will work up some new layouts. Presales will be done.  Will ask for a volunteer from each class to coordinate photography.

SCRIP:

• $29,000 was brought in from Spooky Scrip

• ho, ho, ho week coming up in time for Christmas

New business:

Don is requesting Donation to Technology – 5 more Memeos plus projector (projector for each classroom for interactivity) $4000 - $5000 is being requested

Motion $5000 to technology, carried

Lanyards for school office – need additional teacher (green) and volunteer info (yellow); RF and the parish has asked for some as well. Needs clarification before voting on this. What about using the yellow ones for RF night? Motion to table until clarification, carried.

Staff shirt subsidy at $4/shirt requested for staff that wants them and for as many as they want.  Motion to provide one shirt subsidy per staff member, per year

Christmas elves idea to give certificate teachers for apparel.

Morning with Santa: sponsor a Saturday morning in December and make it an event? Santa at the House is currently being discussed so it may conflict.

What do we do with the profits from the carnival, around $4000.  Motion to put it in a CD carried.
