    Meeting Minutes

    May 8, 2007

     

    Prayer

     

    Last meeting minutes approved.

     

    President’s report:

     

    Principal’s report – Mr. Ridder submitted his technology needs request ($27,550)

    • We voted to support the technology list and give $5740 towards the 7 projectors.
    • $300 for a site license on keyboarding software was approved
    • Table computer laptops until next year.

    Donations summary 2007-2008 – $8,000 to technology

                                                $1,000 to tuition assistance from the used uniform sale

                                                $500 to building fund

    Registration summary – 255 registered for next year out of 315

                                             210 yearbooks were preordered

                                             144 registered to the NFCS

                                               

    School Needs List – A needs list was requested of all the teachers in order for Home and School to use their funds this year. All items purchased will be the property of St. Patrick’s and labeled as such.

    These are the items that were voted on to purchase and approved:

    • 3 Electric 3-hole punches for approximately $600
    • Paper cutters  - $500 towards one 24” cutter and sharpen the existing blades
    • 2 Kindergarten rugs – $1000
    • 3rd grade Globes -  $200
    • 1st, 2nd, 5th, junior high - Fat Brain certificates worth $200 for Math manipulatives and Brain games
    • 4th grade-  $200 towards Nebraska Adventure teachers’ resource pack and Sling Psychrometers
    • $50 to PE for ball bags
    • Music - chime tables and pads $550
    • Pre-K - $300 for 1 Pre-Keys package to be shared between Pre-K and Kindergarten
    • Library requested an online encyclopedia subscription. We’re tabling this until we can get further information and pricing. We are interested in learning about a site license for the school.

     

    School Board Report – no report

     

    Treasurers Report – approximately $17,000 currently in the bank plus 2 CDs ($1790 and $4153) for carnival expenses. Over $10,000 was approved to spend tonight towards the end of the year gifts listed above.

                                               

     

    Teacher Appreciation - Teacher Appreciation Week is well under way and the teachers are very appreciative.

     

    SCRIP – end of year results includes an approximate profit of $9,236 to be divided:

    • 30% to tuition reimbursement
    • 30% to the building fund
    • 40% to Home and School - approximately $2000 - $2500
    • 8% of the 40% Home and School raised is required to go back to the archdiocese

     

    Grounds committee – Spring clean up was done and the grounds look great. Thank you to all those that volunteered on a sunny Saturday.

     

    Carnival –  Jen Mezacassa will co-chair the event

     

    New Business

    A memorial gift in memory of Mr. Ridder’s mother was approved. A bench and plaque, pavers or stepping stones, and lights will be put by the new Mary statue in front of church this summer in her name.

     

    The chairperson list and committee list that were presented in March were voted on and approved.

     

    Old Business

    Updated Bylaws were reviewed and approved.  They will be posted to the Web and delivered to the School Board for approval.
