On behalf of the Home & School Association, I’d like to welcome you to St. Patrick’s School.  We are so excited to have you join the St. Patrick’s Family!

The mission of H&S is to support the school staff, parents, and parish community by nurturing our children’s academic, spiritual, and behavioral development.  In order to serve the school to the best of our ability, we depend on the time, talent and treasure of our parents/guardians.  There are plenty of ways to contribute to our mission, in both big and small ways, so we invite you to become involved in whatever way you choose, as anything you do will make a difference in your child(ren)’s education.  H&S has 22 committees, which offer various opportunities to get involved.  Whether you want to bring baked goods, work safety patrol, or serve lunch in the cafeteria, there is definitely a role for you!

One of the most important ways to support H&S is by participating in our $CRIP Program.  The way it works is that you use the given form to purchase gift cards through St. Pat’s to various stores and restaurants and those business donate back a percentage of the sale back to us.  We also have a few “free money” programs, which are very easy to participate in.  We encourage you to save, collect, and turn in any receipts accumulated from Hy-Vee Supermarket from September 1^st to the end of December to collect “Cash for Students”.   You can also help by cutting Box Tops off of participating grocery items (Box Tops are on various items from Fruit Roll-Ups to Pampers!) and turning them in with your child(ren).  Each year, we participate in Younker’s Coupon Sales.  For each $5 coupon book you sell for Younker’s (with coupons well exceeding $5), St. Patrick’s H&S gets money back.

Included with this letter are a calendar of events, a committee description, and a year-in-review.  In addition, please refer to the Home & School section of the St. Patrick’s School website for information.  Hopefully, this will give you any and all information you need about what H&S does for St. Patrick’s.  We take much pride in the job we do!
