February 6, 2007

Prayer

Last meeting minutes reviewed and approved.

President’s report:            

Principal’s report –  CSW went smoothly and pleased; Hy-Vee donated the cookies

Committee Chairs – listing of chairs has been reviewed by the President

Open meeting at Don Carmelo’s 5-7 on 2/25 to finalize the chairs and call on others
to volunteer.

Vice-President’s report:

Church office reported that they are not responsible for mowing the cemetary and thus are not contracted with a vendor. Home and School will be contacting other church groups again to put a schedule together to cover the grounds maintenance through the summer. Julie Kaup will ask someone to take the grounds committee chair position next year.  Motion carried to keep the organization of the grounds work within Home and School using support from other church groups.

Treasurer’s report:

none

Secretary’s report: 

              Bylaws will be reviewed by the elected officers and sent out to past officers to review the edits from past motions.

Committee reports:

• Box tops – a check was received and the next submittal deadline is the end of February
• Catholic Schools week – banner was made but it wasn’t displayed due to a communication error
• Christmas Elves – the additional money was used to purchase pencil sharpeners and the remaining will be used for other teacher appreciation
• St. Pat’s parade – 10:30 on the 10th; contact Kari Robey if you’re interested in helping with the float
• SCRIP – Hop into Spring is coming in April
• Winter Apparel Sale – about $1500 in sales was done

New business:

              Joan will ask Don about sending out permission slips prior to the measuring of hair for the locks of love program.
