"As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace" 1 Peter 4:10 The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Pastoral Letter titled: Stewardship: A Disciple's Response says a Christian Steward is: "One who receives God's gifts gratefully, cherishes and tends them in a responsible and accountable manner, shares them in justice and love with others, and returns them with increase to the Lord." During the month of October we conducted our annual Stewardship Appeal and Renewal as well as the Archdiocese's Feed My Sheep Annual Appeal. We ask each family to prayerfully examine the gifts they have received and to make a commitment of how they will share them. This stewardship prayer can be used in the process. If you have not completed a form or are new to the parish please pick up an intention card in the back of church or click here to download one. It may be hard at times to remember that everything we have is a gift from God. Stewardship calls us as Disciples of Christ to share our gifts with others and return them in proportion to the Lord as a way of giving God thanks for them. This can be a challenge in today's society. As a to remind us that their are many ways to be good stewards of God's gift we will periodically feature a Steward of the Month in the bulletin. Please take the time to nominate someone you know.
